Description
The First Christian Church of Harriman, (side view) Tennessee was the first church to build a permanent structure church building after Harriman, was formed in 1889.
The original Victorian church building was built in 1901. A new facility, including a new sanctuary and educational wing, was built in the late 50's and early 60's. The sanctuary seated 250 people and the educational wing is more than adequate to meet the church's needs until a new brick church building was built across the street (Morgan Avenue) in 1956.
