The Ford Edsel was promoted first on September 4, 1957! Anyone, like me, seeing the unique grill for the first time, never forgets it! It is unique, but quite ugly! This one was in rather poor shape, but the black and white rendition at least gives it some support at being artful.
In that first year, 63,110 cars were sold. The last year, 1960, only 2,846 sold. That ended this car's run on the market.
I have always been intrigued with photography. I did sports, fashion, news, and wedding photography for a time, but even after I started a career where photography was no longer a part of the work, I kept firing away for personal reasons and to document my life. The photos came in handy for my personal blog http://mushysmoochings.blogspot.com. I still write there quite a bit, but documenting the theater restoration project keeps me pretty busy. I hope you enjoy my photos, because the process gives me great personal pleasure. Even if you don't buy, please leave a comment to keep driving me on! Wow, never expected anyone to comment on the old Edsel shot. So, I'm extremely pleased! Thanks.
