Artist's Description
The 162 foot lighthouse was built in 1875, at a cost of $178,000. It is located in the town of Corolla, the Currituck Beach Light was the last of four beacons placed at intervals from Cape Henry, Virginia to Cape Hatteras. It’s beacon filled the remaining “dark spot” along the coast of North Carolina.
Wild horses roam the nearby beaches.
About Paul Mashburn
I have always been intrigued with photography. I did sports, fashion, news, and wedding photography for a time, but even after I started a career where photography was no longer a part of the work, I kept firing away for personal reasons and to document my life. The photos came in handy for my personal blog http://mushysmoochings.blogspot.com. I still write there quite a bit, but documenting the theater restoration project keeps me pretty busy. I hope you enjoy my photos, because the process gives me great personal pleasure. Even if you don't buy, please leave a comment to keep driving me on!
