Description
This is an American Bald Eagle juvenile nesting in a dead pine tree on Daufuskie Island, SC. I watched this nest, containing two juveniles, the week I was on the island. It was the week they got brave enough to fly to and from nearby trees. However, the parents rarely came, trying to force them to hunt on their own. It was exciting...to a bird watcher!
